I started playing at 22 years of age after I heard James Taylor play You've Got A friend.I was mesmerised by his playing and singing, and I still am today.
What was the first concert you ever went to?
It was a Gallagher & Lyle concert at Glasgow City Halls in the 70's.It was packed to capacity.I went with some workmates and it was the first time I had heard a live string section playing and it made my hair stand on end, it was fantastic.
What gear do you use?
I have 3 Taylor Guitars, and 2 Martin Guitars, Taylor 414-CE, Taylor 416-CE, and a limited Edition Taylor 814 L7.A Martin J40, and a Martin GPCPA5K.I have a Yamaha keyboard also.

Great music and musicians.
Who was your biggest musical influence growing up?
The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, James Taylor, The Eagles, Simon & Garfunkel, Joni Mitchell, Jackson Browne, etc...Their music got me into them.
Are you in a band? Have you been in bands?
I started out in a folk duo, then progressed to a 4 piece rock/pop cover band.Now I am retired(early)I play solo acoustic.
If you could jam with anyone, who would it be?
It would be a toss up between James Taylor and Paul McCartney.
What's the biggest audience you ever performed to? What's the smallest?
Probably around 250.It was live on BBC radio 1 in a broadcast from the Edinburgh folk festival in 1990.
You're stuck on a desert island and only get to bring one album with you. What do you pick?
A hard one, but I'd probably choose Revolver, by The Beatles, it is sublime from start to finish.
